IHA Community Corner
My dearest residents and program participants,
We are writing to share an important and transparent update regarding
the sale of seven affordable housing properties within our portfolio. On
January 15, 2026, we successfully closed on the sales of Beechwood
Gardens, Hawthorne Place, Blackburn Terrace, Twin Hills, Laurelwood,
Rowney Terrace, and 16 Park Apartments. The new owner is Vitus and
the new property management company is Subsidized Housing Partners
(SHP).
This marks a significant milestone in our organizational recovery efforts
and represents a strategic step toward long-term stability and investment
in these communities. Our priority throughout this process has been to
ensure continued housing quality, operational continuity, and resident
support.
On behalf of the Indianapolis Housing Agency, I want to reassure
residents in the communities and properties that will remain under IHA
management, that our commitment to providing quality, affordable
housing is unchanged. Last year we worked to stabilize our organization.
This year you can expect us to increase resident engagement efforts.

IHA Celebrates CEO Bean's 1 Year Anniversary!
We proudly celebrated Yvonda A. Bean's one-year anniversary as Chief
Executive Officer of the Indianapolis Housing Agency on February 17th, 2026.
What a difference a year makes!
Yvonda's leadership has required resilience, strategic focus, and countless
hours of dedication. Through every challenge, she has remained steadfast in her
commitment to doing what is right for our residents, our employees, and the
long-term integrity of the agency. She has fostered transparency, accountability,
and collaboration while keeping the mission of serving families at the center of
every decision.
Beyond her accomplishments, we are grateful for her presence, her steady
leadership, her encouragement, and her belief in our team and communities.
Her ability to balance strength with compassion has made a lasting impact on
our organization.
Yvonda, thank you for your vision, your support, and your tireless work on
behalf of IHA. We celebrate your first year of leadership and look forward to
continued progress under your guidance. Congratulations
