My dearest residents and program participants,
I'm excited to share the good news that the federal government shutdown has officially ended! We know the uncertainty of the past few weeks may have caused worry, and we truly appreciate your patience and strength throughout it all. With everything now reopening, our team is prepared for a smooth return to normal operations. We're working closely with our local and federal partners to make sure services continue without interruption and that any delays are addressed as quickly as possible. If you have questions about your housing assistance, rent, or services, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (317) 261-7200. We are here to provide information, answer questions, and connect you with available resources. Please also find a list of resources on page 2 of this newsletter and visit our website at www.IndyHousing.org for more information. We appreciate your patience and resilience during these uncertain times. Together, we will navigate this period with the strength and unity that defines our community. IHA Launches New Online Portal for Clients and Landlords
The Indianapolis Housing Agency (IHA) is excited to announce a new housing management software system designed to improve communication and service delivery between families and our partners. All IHA families and landlords are encouraged to register for an IHA Portal Account - your one-stop hub for managing housing information online. For families, the portal simplifies completing annual recertifications, reporting income changes, and contacting your assigned case manager directly. For landlords, the portal provides quick access to unit details, payment history, inspection updates, and case manager contact information. Please note: To register for a portal account, you must first receive a unique registration code directly from the Indianapolis Housing Agency's leasing office or your case manager.
Resident Advisory Board Participates in the Annual Plan Process:
Every year, IHA prepares an Annual Plan to guide how we serve residents and strengthen our communities. This plan helps shape programs, housing goals, and improvements for the year ahead. Our Resident Advisory Board (RAB) plays an important role by sharing ideas, concerns, and feedback from residents to ensure the plan reflects the needs of our community. Your voices are valued. We appreciate everyone who participated and together, we're building stronger, safer, and more supportive neighborhoods for all. Contact your manager to find out how you can also get involved.
