Agency Requirements for All IHA Employees

Below is a partial list of core requirements for all Indianapolis Housing Agency employees.

Additional criteria may apply depending on the position:

  • Residency in Marion County or commitment to relocate here within six months of hire
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening
  • No felony convictions within the past seven years
  • Pre‑employment skills assessment, where applicable
  • Valid Indiana driver's license
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
