A Customer Service from the Indianapolis Housing Agency

Participating in the IHA's Section 8 program will provide the satisfaction of making it possible for low income families to enjoy affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing.

Over the past six months, the Indianapolis Housing Agency has implemented many improvements in our Section 8 voucher program. Among those improvements is a significant effort to improve the IHA's relations with rental property owners.

This effort includes simplifying the Section 8 program process for landlords, simplifying forms, providing a forum for landlord issues, training for landlords, marketing the program and working cooperatively with local law enforcement agencies, and owner and community groups to improve the integrity of the program.
